How to choose a mahjong mat

A mahjong mat softens the sound of shuffling, stops tiles and racks from sliding and protects the table top. Most mats are square and sized for a card table.

Size

Measure your table top edge to edge. Our mats range from 31.5 to 36 inch squares; choose one that covers the playing area with the racks on it and still lies flat.

Neoprene or rubber?

Neoprene mats have a soft, cushioned feel and roll or fold easily. Rubber mats are heavier and grip the table well. Let any mat dry fully before you put it away.
